Well, if there’s a way to injure myself, I’m gonna find it!
Saturday at rehearsal, I managed to pull, twist and strain my right knee. You know, the one good one I had left! It wasn’t all that bad when it happened. You know, if you’re used to the feeling of a knife being thrust(ed?) into the back of your knee!
So I’ve been taking care of it the best I can. Sitting on my ass, knee brace, complaining, the whole 9 yards (while watching The Whole 9 Yards. Go figure). Went to the doctor today just to make sure I’m not making this thing worse and thankfully, it looks like I’ll be back to my “normal” self in a week or two.
Besides…a sprained knee isn’t going to stop me from rock and roll! It WILL stop me from running the sweeper however.
Okay, thats really all I have to say at the moment. I’m gonna go do the dishes…wait…no I’m not. Where are the cookies?

Well, actually…I didn’t get any new shoes. I think about about due for some though!
So things have been pretty hectic as always. The patientZero shows thus far this year have been a lot of fun. It looks like this week we’re going to get a couple weeks “off” from doing anything live, but I’m sure we’ll be busy working on the 1,000 irons we have in the fire.
Lets see….oh! Got some new Bosphorus Cymbals on the way. I’m really looking forward to that. I’m a gear freak so any new gear makes me giddy. I ordered a few of the “Gold” series cymbals. I seem to lean to those and the Traditionals the most.
I’ve been on a DVD binge lately. The newest is a movie called “Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang” No…its not a porno (sickies). This is probably one of my new favorite films. The writing in it is really smart, and the cast rules. It features Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer. Both of them do AMAZING jobs. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and GO GET IT!
I’m also excited in hearing that there’s going to be a Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 6 coming soon to my favorite channel of HBO. I can’t wait for the new season! And speaking of HBO, Season 4 of Entourage is off to an AMAZING start.
Okay…well thats all for now. Just thought I’d write in this thing for once. I ate McDonald’s and I’m not feelin’ so hot right now. The McGirgles are setting in! :o(
Ciao for now,
AF

Are you serious?! Has it been since DECEMBER since I’ve written my last blog? Lordy, I really need to keep up on things. So first things first (and I’ll update the site to reflect all this), patientZero is doing GREAT. We’re in talks with a lot of industry people right now so things are moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, I can’t go into detail (as always) until something comes of something. You know how it goes!
I CAN say that our first of several tour dates have been booked. We’ll be starting in Austin, TX at the South By Southwest Music & Film Festival. That will be on March 14th. Dates are soon to come for our spring dates.
Its a little depressing that so many good things are going on, but I can’t discuss ANY of them. I gotta keep my big mouth shut and you know how hard this is for me. Believe me, for those of you who care enough to stop by and read, I’ll be sure to post as soon as I find out about whatever it is I can’t tell ya. Follow that?
Other than that stuff, just doing my thing. I bought a new snare today. Actually, its like new, a friend of mine sold it to me. I played it at rehearsal last night and fell in love. It was love at first sight (cue sappy music). That may not seem like much to you, but I love new gear. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Been watching movies as always. Not too many new ones, but Crank has recently become a favorite of mine. High-energy, dry humor, and its got Jason Stathem (or however you spell his name) and he’s an English Badass.
I guess thats all for now, just thought I’d stop by and say hi!!!!
I hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon!

I am happy to announce (LATE…woopsie!), that I have officially joined Cincinatti band patientZero. These guys are incredible. It was kind of a trial basis there for a bit for various reasons. Never-the-less, I gave them a definite YES that I’m all aboard!
I can’t remember what I wrote in my last post about them, but I’ve known Chris Sarvak for a few years now. Its been one of those deals where he and I always wanted to work with one another, but due to scheduling conflicts and prior band commitments, it just couldn’t happen. Until recently anyway. The time has FINALLY come!
Aaron, the guitarist of the band is another great guy. He’s a really great guitarist and has an amazing personality. He’s easy to work with, knows how to have fun, and is great at what he does.Together, the three of us are hard at work getting ready to schedule dates in early ‘07 (and by early, I mean JANUARY).
Currently, we’re getting me all caught up learning the material while taking care of some business needs. I really had to hit the ground running with these guys, but at least its in a direction that I’ve wanted to go for years now. They’re giving me a lot of creative input and freedom. Which is amazing considering how new I am to them! We’ve been doing some rehearsals, and honestly…I’m blown away. Everything is really coming together and becoming very tight. I can’t wait to see what the live show is going to be like when this is all said and done.
So for now, I’m going to remain hard at work with my new and old friends in pZ. Look for tour dates in January and in the meantime, we’re workin’ on a little something else. *wink wink* thats all I can say…
Not to leave out EM5, the show went GREAT! John, Ken and myself had a great time. We’re talking about booking some more dates and throwing some new songs into the mix. We had a really nice crowd, so if you were there and are reading this, keep coming back! We’re going to try and keep the shows as fresh as possible each time.
Thats all for now! Go finish your Christmas shopping.
Talk to you soon,
Aaron
p.s. Sorry for cancelling last weeks show in Cleveland with Mechanics of Things. I was really looking forward to playing with them at the Dimebag Tribute show. Unfortunately, an emergency had come up that required my attention and had to bail out of the show the night before. Sorry!!!
