Its been a bit since I’ve posted anything on here, so I’ll touch base on a few things.
First, I did some studio work a few weeks back and just go the rough mixes over the weekend. This is just a fun project I’m done with my brother and our guitarist (for a band we have yet to name). We wanted to lay down some of our cover songs we play to get more gigs (I guess I should use the word “some” as opposed to “more.”) I am SO excited! These are turning out pretty good! Its funny though, since we started the recording project (and band for that matter), we’ve always just meant for this to be a fun let-loose deal where we just jam, and do a gig here and there. Well as of late, it appears this group has taken a more serious turn and wishes to go off the road of covers and onto the highway of originals! I won’t get into a lot of the details yet, but we shall see what comes of this.
Second, over the weekend I was able to catch up with my friend Page Hamilton. Helmet is currently on the Vans Warped Tour and invited me out to watch the set and hang out afterwards. They put on a great show and the new material is KILLER! I only heard a small portion of it when I was in LA last and was impressed then! I hung out with the band for a few hours after the show in catering and on the tour bus just shooting the shit. Speaking of their bus, 2nd day of the tour and their air conditioner broke! Page and I walked on the bus and it was INSTANT sweat. It was unbelievable. It was already hot as balls outside, this was insane! Thankfully (for them), their bus driver got out of his slumber and fixed it. Its true, you don’t realize what you have until you don’t have it anymore. Hopefully, it holds up the rest of the tour.
And finally, I can’t BEGIN to tell you how excited I am about the new Superman movie!

Anyone who really knows me, knows I’ve been a Superman fan since I was a kid. Of course I’m a fan of the Christopher Reeves movies and will go into this movie with a little chip on my shoulder. However, it appears my giddiness towards the new film is getting the best of me and taking over any suspicions I had about the film. I can’t tell you how happy I am that they are still using the same John Williams score that they used in the other 4 movies. That’s just the icing on the cake! You know where I’ll be June 28th!!!!! And probably the 29th and 30th too. Haha
Well, I got some things to do, so off I go. I’ll post more often, promise (for those of you who actually read this thing)!
Until next time friends…carpe diem…
